About: Rising from the ashes of past musical endeavors, The City Skyscape is the Electronic Pop Indie project of Christopher Mongillo, a passionate 23 year old multi-instrumentalist and audio engineer based in Hartford, Connecticut who has had his hand in quite a number of projects over the past several years. His music finds a home beside such artists as The Postal Service, Depeche Mode, of Montreal and MGMT, while vocally bearing resemblance to Death Cab for Cutie's Ben Gibbard, Placebo's Brian Molko, and Brandon Flowers of The Killers.
The City Skyscape's self-titled debut album was released on March 17, 2009, and boasts wonderfully infectious, soaring melodies, fluent and solid songwriting structures, and expressive musicianship throughout the entire duration of the album. From concept to mastering, Christopher crafts and finely tunes each one of his songs in his small, modest studio. Currently putting forth effort towards a sophomore release, and with plans for another tour in the springtime, he is determined to make 2010 a most memorable year, with no signs of slowing down thereafter. It would be safe to say that if The City Skyscape was a virus, Christopher is hell-bent on having infected the entire populous by the year's end.
